Heat some oil in a large skillet saute 6 dogs until golden brown set aside
Mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon french dijon mustard and 1 chopped shallot in a large bowl
Take 1 tablespoon or more of that mixture and transfer to another large bowl
Pull some of the dough from each of the 6 hot dog buns and toast under the broiler
Just before serving add mix 2-3 cups of lettuce to the mayo mixture and toss to coat
Add 1 cup of chopped tomato to the smaller amount of mayo, toss to coat
Spoon lettuce on to the buns, add the dog, top with tomato and bacon, serve
